The Greater Green Valley Community Foundation (GGVCF) is dedicated to improving the quality of life in communities in the Green Valley area. We focus on older adults, healthcare, children, housing education, the environment and rural living.

Building a Community

The Greater Green Valley Community Foundation was established in 1998 to serve local residents and organizations. Our goal is to build community now and for many years to come by bringing people and organizations together around local issues and opportunities.

The GGVCF has an endowment which includes both unrestricted and field of interest funds. Our local board and staff have an in-depth understanding of the concerns and resources that shape our community, and we are dedicated to continue building this permanent endowment or savings account to serve the Green Valley areas long-term needs.Through local grantmaking, the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation provides financial support to our communitys nonprofit organizations. We also provide technical assistance and training to encourage these local community organizations to grow and extend their reach.

For Donors

We can help you learn more about local agencies and programs where your charitable gifts can make a difference in areas you care about most, and we can suggest easy, flexible ways to give. You may chose to give to a fund that already exists, or you may want to create a new fund in your name or the name of a loved one.

Your gift may be unrestricted to be used where it is needed most or you may select a field of interest or a specific organization to benefit from your generosity. In every case, your gift to the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation not only helps the community, but you also receive maximum charitable tax advantages.

Mission Statement

To create a unified community by meeting the charitable needs of the Green Valley area through grants, technical assistance and other services to nonprofit organizations;

To accomplish this goal by attracting and managing in perpetuity capital gifts (living and testamentary) from individuals, families, corporations, agencies and private foundations;

To exercise leadership in select community issues and advance the cause of organized philanthropy throughout the Green Valley area.

Service Area

Green Valley is located in South Pima County along the I-19 corridor south of Tucson. The area is home to families, retirees, ranches and many growing businesses. This diversity allows the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation to focus on older adults, healthcare, children, housing, education, the environment and rural living.

Grantmaking reflects the uniqueness of the Foundation which serves the towns of Green Valley, Sahuarita, Amado, Arivaca, Tubac, Tumacacori and the surrounding area.  The Board works to reflect the goal of its mission statement "to create a unified community."
