Shaping the Future Through Nonprofits
Since 1970, the Community Foundation has given over $7 million to nonprofits in the greater Green Valley area.
Our Mission
We change and enrich lives through guidance, education, and financial support for charitable organizations in our communities.
We serve Sahuarita, Green Valley, Amado, Arivaca, Tumacacori, Rio Rico, Nogales and Sonora, Mexico.
What do we do?
Through our annual grant making cycle we support a myriad of nonprofits in our area providing health and human services, animal rescue and recovery, arts and education, youth programs and the environment.
Community
Investment
We fund and build partnerships, provide education on critical community issues and organizational development resources to the nonprofit community service programs that make this region such a special place to live and work.
Philanthropy / Sustainability
The Community Foundation is the leader in local philanthropic development by providing donors ways to support and give to nonprofits through a variety of fund options. Nonprofits are sustained through endowments from planned gifts more so than from grants and fundraising.
Community
Development Hub
Provide an ongoing collaborative network that supports honest and innovative dialogue within our community for growth in the areas of Nonprofits, Business, Social, Cultural, Economic, and Environmental. We fund projects in these specific areas of interest.
